It's been a weird week

Hello again. Hope you are all well, and if in the UK looking forward to the Bank Holiday Weekend. I know I am. It is time for a serious haircut as my fringe is tickling my nose and really annoying me. Problem is I can't decide what to 'do' for a 'do'. I think it is time for a change.

On the progress front it has been a weird one this week. I have felt a bit under the weather. I thought I was incubating a cold or a throat infection, and that feeling kept coming and going. Then I thought it was hormones (and it could well be that) but still not sure, and then to add insult to injury my back started twinging as well. However, besides all of the above I have managed to get a lot done. Two pairs of mittens off the needles, loads of new photos taken and edited, though I still need to do the modelled shots. I need Mike for that, hopefully we will have time this weekend.  I got to do some sewing too, and  I have also kept up with my daily yoga and meditation practise which is a bonus. It had felt like such a 'stuck in the mud' week but now I see that it has been a good one.

I have so many ideas and plans in my head and the time is getting closer and closer to start moving those thoughts into actions and it is actually quite terrifying but if you don't try...............

It often feels like my head will explode with the mix of terror and excitement, and of course all of the doubts that try and creep in and tell me I'm an idiot for even thinking I'm onto to something and that this will never work. I am quite good at ignoring them and powering on with self belief, but occasionally they have a little nibble at my sanity.

I have been promising myself a few days off, so am going to take the long weekend to try and switch off. Also in the first week in September Mike is on holiday, we have so much stuff to do, that I am going to enjoy having him home and take a couple of days off  that week to have some fun. The week after that will be all systems (scary) go for Sparrow House.

Until then I won't be blogging much but before I have my mini break I thought I would share a few  of the new photos with you.

I love these wrist warmers - the pattern is so delicate looking and the colour contrast just works so well for me.
I have a secret crush on the whole Grellow combination and I actually really enjoyed making these as not only did I love the design but I kept stopping to admire the colours.
There is always space for some plain Jane mittens.
After spending a good few years working in a space that was so  cold in winter and not being  able to wear gloves to work in,  I am a true convert and believer in the warm goodness of wrist warmers. They sit on your pulse point and it is amazing how much warmer you feel just from wearing them.  The rainbow colour wave of these is so cheerful, just perfect for grey winters days. BTW the brass elephants are from my small collection of antique elephant statues, they are so beautiful that I had to use them in a photo.

That's it from me for now. Have a good weekend. Comments are always lovely - don't be shy. xxxxx
